Social & emotional literacy

Culture & identity
Creating connection through culture, identity and belonging.
We offer kapa haka, rōngoa and pounamu carving opportunities.
Delivered in partnership with experienced educator and kapa haka practitioner Phil Hoskin, our kapa haka programmes strengthen confidence, cultural identity and belonging through authentic Māori practice.
We also combine with 10 Hearts One Soul and Coryn Grace for hands on creative workshops that can be tailored to meet the needs of your school.

Creativity has the power to transform confidence, wellbeing and belonging.As schools continue to strengthen the arts within the New Zealand Curriculum, Kura Mai Collective provides authentic music and drama programmes that inspire learners while supporting social and emotional development.
Mark Armstrong is one of Taranaki's respected musicians and a member of well-known New Zealand band The Slacks. Through decades of performing, songwriting and mentoring young people, he brings authentic industry experience into schools, inspiring creativity, confidence and connection through music.
